How to Enable Cross-Platform Voice Chat in Party Animals

If you’re experiencing issues with voice chat not working between platforms, it might be due to a privacy setting that disables cross-platform communication. Follow the steps below to adjust your settings on Xbox or PlayStation to enable voice chat with players on other platforms.

Enabling Cross-Platform Communication on Xbox / PlayStation

Xbox

1. Open Xbox and go to “Settings.”

2. Navigate to “Account” > “Privacy & online safety.”

3. Select “Xbox privacy.”

4. Click on “View details & customize.”

5. Go to “Communication & multiplayer.”

6. Find the setting “You can communicate outside of Xbox with voice & text” and change it to “Everyone.”

PlayStation

1. Select “Settings” on the top right of the home screen.

2. Go to “Users and Accounts.”

3. Click “View and Customize Your Privacy Settings.”

4. Under “Who can interact with you through parties, games, and messages,” change the setting to “Anyone.”
