If you’re experiencing issues with voice chat not working between platforms, it might be due to a privacy setting that disables cross-platform communication. Follow the steps below to adjust your settings on Xbox or PlayStation to enable voice chat with players on other platforms.
Enabling Cross-Platform Communication on Xbox / PlayStation
Xbox
- Open Xbox and go to “Settings.”

- Navigate to “Account” > “Privacy & online safety.”

- Select “Xbox privacy.”

- Click on “View details & customize.”

- Go to “Communication & multiplayer.”

- Find the setting “You can communicate outside of Xbox with voice & text” and change it to “Everyone.”

PlayStation
- Select “Settings” on the top right of the home screen.

- Go to “Users and Accounts.”

- Click “View and Customize Your Privacy Settings.”

- Under “Who can interact with you through parties, games, and messages,” change the setting to “Anyone.”
