Custom Game FAQ

What is Custom Game? How is it different from Quick Match?

In Custom Game mode, players enjoy greater freedom in tailoring lobby settings. You can either join existing game lobbies or establish your own. Within a game lobby, players have the option not only to engage as players or spectators, but also to switch teams, include local players, or add AI players. The game owner possesses enhanced control, allowing for the choice of maps, player count, as well as lobby name, password, player removal, and other lobby specifics.

After finishing a game, players can earn level XP and unlock specific achievements available solely within Custom Game based on their performance. Unlike Quick Match, there is a Daily XP Limit in place for Custom Game.

After the Quick Match matching process finishes, players have the opportunity to vote on the map for the upcoming game. Depending on their performance in each game, players can earn level XP and unlock specific achievements available solely within Quick Match. Weekly Challenges are exclusively attainable through Quick Match games, offering rewards upon completion.

It’s worth noting that leaving a game midway will result in a temporary Quick Match restriction, during which the player will be unable to partake in another Quick Match for a designated period of time.

Will there be any rewards from playing Custom Game?

Players can earn level XP by playing Custom Game. However, unlike Quick Match, there will be a daily limit for the XP that can be earned from Custom Game. If the limit is reached, players won’t receive any more XP from playing this mode within the day.

In addition to XP, certain achievements that are exclusive to this mode can only be unlocked in Custom Game.

What lobby setting options are available in Custom Game?

In a Custom Game, the game owner can choose to enable or disable lobby settings such as: Loop Maps, Reselect Character Every Game, Knock-Out, and Weapons. It is also possible to modify Maximum HP and Maximum Stamina of the players.

Why can’t I find my friend’s lobby in the game?

If you cannot find your friend’s game in the lobby list, it may be because you and your friend are not on the same server. The lobby list of each server on Party Animals is different. If you want to join your friend’s lobby, please try joining your friend’s lobby in your friend list or accept your friend’s invitation to play together.

Can multiple players share the same screen?

Yes. In a Custom Game lobby with vacant seats, you can easily add new local players. Make sure to have a controller connected to your PC or at least two controllers connected to your console. Simply press the “RT” button on your controller to add a new local player. Use your preferred controller to select “Yes” on the pop-up window, which will assign this controller to the new local player.

Currently, the game supports split-screen play for up to 4 players.

Is it possible to turn off friendly fire?

Yes. Simply select “Settings” in a Custom Game lobby and locate the “Disable Friendly Fire” option to toggle it on or off.

Disabling friendly fire will prevent direct damage to teammates, but the knock-back effects from direct attacks will still be active, potentially causing knockouts. In addition, you cannot disable friendly fire for indirect attack items like bombs.
